About Cheryl

This is the part where I brag about my accomplishments. I’ll try to make it as painless as possible.

About CherylI’ve been a journalist for over 30 years. I’ve interviewed everyone from Jennifer Aniston to Hillary Clinton.  I’ve covered the Oscars, the Emmys, the Tonys, the Cannes Film Festival and the Democratic and Republican Conventions.

But the joy of my professional carrer is my syndicated relationship column Tales from the Front.

When I started Tales, I was newly divorced, struggling with the same issues that faced adults then and still face us today. How do we find love, keep it, get over the pain when we lose it, and find the strength to start all over—while still holding down jobs, taking care of kids and parents and trying to keep our sanity?

Archie and Veronica never dealt with this kind of stuff!

The column became a community where readers could share their tales. (You can find them under BLOG.) And then, it evolved into a safe place where they could come for advice. (Click on CHERYL’S ADVICE BLOG under BLOG to see the kind of practical, no-nonsense advice I’m known for.)

Now I’m taking that same down-to-earth approach to the Internet. If you have a problem you’d like to discuss or a question you need answered, I’m available! Just click on ASK CHERYL to get the conversation started.

On a personal note, I live in Phoenix with my second and last husband, Robert. Husbands are exhausting! I’m a volunteer mediator in Maricopa County. I help settle disputes between neighbors, ex-friends, landlords and tenants, consumers and contractors. It’s been a master class in human nature.

Rosie, our rescue puppy, rounds out our household.
